Would you rather I lie?

I could spin you pretty things

You'd probably despise me
Patronize me if you found out
Those pretty things I'd spout
Were nothing but an out

It would be easier to buy
A present to substitute the presense
Of disheartening truth
To save myself an arguement

So I think I'd rather tell the truth
