Swarms of lovers, not fighters,
all live in France.
“No trouble you will have with them,”
the Axis did remark.
“Their walls are strong, their force is many,”
the German Generals did say.
“Retreat if you must,
if they resist,
but no trouble will bother you with the French.”
“Their walls will fall
as brittle as sticks
and an empire will die.”
“They won’t last
because their terrible past,
will make them fall
to the Axis.”
