If I ruled the world

If I ruled the world, I'd have to see with the honesty of a child's eyes
See my subjects as children and yet
I'd have the burdens of an adult.

Who'd want to rule the world?
To do so would mean bias wiped away
Thoughts and feelings suppressed
And decisions based on pure truth.

What is pure truth?
As if to make a decision we'd have to decide what's best for the entire globe
Where would the enemy be-
To unite the masses and give the unnecessary a place to rest their angry internet fingers?

When I rule the world, I will tell my brothers that freedom is achievable
When we see each other as brothers
And DESPITE the hatred love the other.

How does a dreamer see a day?
It's like ruling the whole world and making it in your own way.
Why can't we just say:
We all rule the world?
What are you going to do
With YOUR world today?
